How You Can Help

It's wonderful to see the number of enquiries coming in about how best to help Buddy and his family, and in particular how to help with this event. Dana Pixie (@danapixie on Twitter) can give you the most up-to-date information on the items they most need right now, but here are some things you can do to help make Buddy's pawty a huge success!
  1. Please post information about it on Facebook and Twitter. The blog link is http://gcpawty.blogspot.com, the Tweetvite link is twvt.us/gcpawty, the Facebook page is http://facebook.com/gcpawty, and the hashtag for the event is (guess what?) #GCpawty. Posting or tweeting any of those links will help to get pals to the pawty. (Please, though, don't promote it using any hashtag other than #GCpawty unless you already have the agreement of the hashtag's main user. That is spamming, and can get you into serious trouble!);
  2. Have a look at the games and entertainment planned for the event (full details coming very soon!) and see what you might have fun taking part in. The times will be shown so you know what time everything is happening and won't find you've accidentally missed something. Unless you're from Canada you may find some of the games are new to you, so you might want to watch the videos that will be posted ahead of the big day to let you get a feel for the occasion. You have a treat in store;
  3. Have a look at our Menu, courtesy of @TweetingTruman, and see what noms and drinks you like the look of! Our bartenders love to serve them;
  4. Click on the music links and sample our DJs' choice of songs. They put a lot of effort into choosing something appropriate, and they do so love it if you tell them that you're dancing to them!;
  5. Please donate a little if you can - even the smallest of amounts add up to a great deal! Remember, though, the pawty's also about letting Buddy and his family know we care about them, and you're also helping every time you tweet or post the donation link, or retweet or Share someone else's mention of it; and
  6. Turn up, join in, and have fun!
See you Wednesday!
